Brand identity logo design and packaging for Viva Drinks.

Viva required a bright new identity to move out of the health drinks sector and become a more mainstream everyday drink. Repositioning a beverage from a health product to an more everyday lifestyle drink meant more than visual tweak – a complete shift in brand perception, context, colour and content communication was required.

The Viva Beverages brand positioned itself as healthy, botanical, functional refreshers — low-calorie, no added sugar, ambient or chilled, with blends like “Mind”, “Detox”, “Defence” and “Calm.” This range targeted the early “better-for-you” trend of drinks and energy drink alternative.

My Approach

To move the brand from the health drink sector into a premium lifestyle range the packaging and branding needed to strike a balance between expensive luxury and everyday thirst quenching. The VIVA branding needed to still appeal to health conscious consumers with a premium fruit ingredients and also consumers looking for an energy drink alternative.
